Data exchange in the building industry

Building Smart e.V. is an international, non-governmental, non-profit organization that facilitates an exchange of practical experience in the use of digital building models. In addition, the association organizes an annual conference in Berlin to publish the results of its work. Building Smart defines the IFC exchange format, which is supported by numerous 2D and 3D CAD software. This is used to map logical building structures.
