Corona crisis forces action - digitization at full speed
The current global health crisis poses major challenges for companies and clearly reveals the state of digitization in Germany. In the meantime, many companies are working to digitalize their own structures and processes and are changing the way they work. The crisis is forcing us all to do this, both those who have already invested heavily in this area and those who have made little or no progress in digitization to date.
Digitization as an opportunity
Even before the Corona crisis arrived in Germany, 9 out of 10 companies with more than 20 employees from the German economy saw digitization as an opportunity, according to a survey by Bitkom at the beginning of the year. In the meantime, most companies are getting into the act. For companies, digitizing right now means achieving greater security, speed, and cost savings during and after the crisis, thus strengthening their own competitiveness.
