Isolation of somatic cells
Most of the world's ten largest pharmaceutical companies are now among the customers of Cytena GmbH, a 2014 start-up that emerged from a spin-off of the Albert Ludwig University, Freiburg. The company's activities focus on the production of a cell printer that can reliably isolate individual cells from cell cultures in the field of cancer research. In addition to know-how in precision mechanics, programming work is essential for the successful company, which only has its production facilities in Germany.
