Augmented reality is steadily arriving in our reality. The so-called augmented reality enriches the real representation with additional information, images and hints. By interacting with users, it can expand human sensory perception and greatly enrich our working life, leisure, health, education and culture.
AR offers important support, especially for very complex tasks, and can be integrated into almost all areas. It is currently being used increasingly in construction, maintenance and medicine.
In maintenance, for example, the parts of a device are "labeled" and the mechanic receives work instructions. In medicine, during surgery, AR can show the surgeon the hidden organs based on previous tomography or current image data from ultrasound machines or open MRI scanners, making a critical contribution to the success of the surgery.
